Our Story
The Beginning
A Cart in Kabul
Over 70 years ago, Ahmad from the Timorian tribe in Kabul began his journey with a simple wooden cart, hand-churning Afghanistan's beloved Sheeryakh — a silky, fragrant ice cream infused with rose water, cardamom, and pistachios.
Word spread through the streets of Kabul about his extraordinary craft. That small cart grew into a restaurant, and then into 80+ beloved locations across Afghanistan, each one a gathering place for families and communities.
When the family made their journey to Alexandria, Virginia, they brought with them not just recipes, but a deeply rooted philosophy: great food is made with love, fresh ingredients, and the patience of tradition.
